Contemplating the Fluff in One's Belly Button
Hours pass as minutes when out with a camera. And after seeing the 'bigger picture' several times, a new way of looking starts to emerge...so I was out with camera yesterday (first snow photos) and found myself contemplating..'.treasures in the snow'

Yes, I certainly looked odd to the passer bys who saw me near pressed up against a tree in a most intimate stance..less said the better.

The journey started very Zen...very minimalist..

Sometimes thoughts drifted in as playful questions: 'when's white not white?' When it's a 'Whiter Shade of Pale?'...

Sometimes it was a visual poem: 'The frozen drop of time'

Always on the look out for the interaction between humans and the environment: Nicely framed 'Ivy detail'

Some are best viewed as above..well, I've always been labelled a 'dreamer'' but I'm not the only one'!

And I know that looking into negative space is not the only way to see the positive, despite my old art teacher's' advice! But it does make for good abstraction especially with bokeh to boot!

Trying to raise the profile of the overlooked....

With a fixed lens camera that's not dedicated to macro...finding the pearl hidden in the recesses...of nature's own belly button.

To surface a little bit wiser after hours of contemplation: you do not have to be a mighty oak to show the strength of resilience!

Well done, Karen, a fine example of what you see when you look hard. The photos with the humour make a good example of an entertaining blog.
Best regards, Steve

Another good blog with nice shots Karen. Yes i did see your response to the colour blind thanks. It can be strange sometimes when other members are commenting on peoples blogs and saying love the way the colour shows in that shot and I am looking saying what colour lol. Thanks for sharing and like your narratives as well.
